Wadi Foquin Bee Hive Project

Buena Vista kicked off the Beehive Project in August 2009 with the Palestinian village of Wadi Foquin where military occupation has devastated the economy of their agricultural livelihood. As of February 2010, 23 beehives have been sponsored for the cultivation of honey as a means of economic survival. There is also ongoing study, engagement, and advocacy for the movement to end the occupation of Palestinian territories. In late February 2010, a group of 11 went to Palestine to see the effects of the occupation, as well as check the status of the beehives in Wadi Foquin.
